Cam

Cam lives with her Mum, Dad, Grandpa and older brother. Her father isn’t home much as he works in another province, and her mother takes care of the family.

Cam has attended the local kindergarten for two years. She loves learning and enjoys school because of her teachers and friends. She loves playing on the swings and slides, as well as a traditional game called “Cake and Mice” where the mice run around trying to catch the cake to eat it.

She studies the Vietnamese Kinh language at school which she finds difficult as her first language is Tay. As Kinh is the national language, learning it is essential for her future success.

Cam wants to be a police officer: “When I grow up, I want to become a police officer so I can catch the bad people. Sometimes I play this at school so I can practice for when I’m old enough.”
