One of the key issues faced in Vietnam is that children from ethnic tribes do not usually speak Kinh, Vietnam's national language. The Vietnamese government insists that children must speak Kinh in order to attend formal primary school and beyond. The Costa Foundation therefore funds nursery schools to ensure these children learn Kinh from an early age and can therefore benefit from full schooling. We have a 100% track record of children leaving our 21 nursery schools being able to speak Kinh.
