Heart story
H Yu Bya's story
At just five years old, H Yu Bya will inspire you with a story of a loving family and great ambition for the future at such a tender age.
My name is H Yu Bya and I am five years old. I’m from the Ede ethnic minority and I live in Ea Noul Commune in Buon Don District of Dak Lak Province, Vietnam. That’s in the Central Highlands where a lot of coffee is grown. I live at home with my Mum, Dad and baby sister. My grandma helps to take care of her while I’m at school and my parents are working.
I go to Son Ca Kindergarten and I love the school because they have many toys and games we can play there, and the teachers are really friendly. I’ve been here for about two years. I like to play on the swings, but I love the dolls the most. My friends and I like to play with them, and sometimes we try to teach them maths.
I’m learning Vietnamese Kinh Language at school, and I find it quite easy to learn to read and write. At home, I speak Ede language with my family, so it’s good to learn the national language at school so I can know it for the future.
At home, I help my mother with our coffee trees, and I help to take care of my baby sister when I can too. I love her so much!
I want to be a doctor when I grow up, so that I can check everyone around me is good and healthy. I know I’ll have to study hard for this, so for now, I’m going to try my best and keep practicing being a doctor with my friends.
I want to say a big thank you to Costa for building me this beautiful school with so many things to learn and play with!
