Project
Noble High School
This school was opened on Saturday 23rd July 2016 by a Costa Foundation Trustee. It was the 55th Costa Foundation school project to be opened across the world.
Ibanda district is located in the western region of Uganda, part of the Ankole Sub-Region. Enrolment numbers for the new school are high, with 344 students enjoying the facilities, of which 58% are girls. Due to the remoteness of this location there are 155 boarders and 189 day students.
The celebration to mark the opening of this school was a very student-focused event, with many performances of song and dance. The head boy and head girl proudly performed the Noble High School anthem to celebrate the new facilities.
The classroom block, boarding accommodation and admin block funded by the Costa Foundation has encouraged an external donor to offer additional funding to provide more classroom facilities. The school grows onwards and upwards.
